February '08: QBL's First Water Project for 2008
We hope to bring safe drinking water to six more Andean villages this year. Villa Puchuni will be one of the first, and is typical of the communities we work with.

It lies 12,500 feet up on the Altiplano three hours south of La Paz, Bolivia's capital. It is dry and cold, with frost more than 200 nights of the year. The 34 families in Villa Puchuni live in mud brick houses, and cultivate potatoes, oats and quinoa. There is no electricity, and no access to safe drinking water.
