We hope that you find these resources to be useful. Most of them have been supplied by QBL Board members who have done extensive research on Bolivia. While these resources reflect their personal interests, others have found them to be helpful as well. We will continue to update this collection as we find new resources and as time allows.

Bolivia Handbook
Alan Murphy

Tourist guidebook. From the British people that have published that "Latin America Handbook" for decades. Contains quite good general background information, but detailed local information is weak.

Like that other guide, this one lists hotels in different cities and tells you how much they cost as of the book publication date.

Chicago: Passport Books/Footprint Handbooks; 1st Edition was 1997

Bolivia in Focus
Paul Van Lindert

Recommended, but I've not been able to see a copy.

Latin American Bureau, UK; 2004
0-906156-91-2

Bolivia: A Lonely Planet Survival Kit
Deanna Swaney

Tourist guidebook; the Lonely Planet Guides come highly recommended. Lots of hints for people who aren't afraid to "rough it" a little.

Oakland, CA: Lonely Planet Publications; 3rd Edition was 1996

Culture Shock! Bolivia
By Mark Kramer

An introduction to Bolivian life and social customs on a generic level, full of interesting anecdotes, by a "Gringo" who lives there and loves Bolivia.

Portland, OR: Graphic Arts Center Publishing Company, 1996
