Compiled by Moema Viezzer from interviews with and writings by Barrios de Chungara. Essential reading for anyone wanting to learn about the lives of working class people in Bolivia. Barrios de Chungara was married to a miner and organized committees of miners' wives to fight for better living conditions. This is a detailed first-hand description of her life from childhood until her late 30s.
NOTE: Barrios de Chungara wrote a sequel that describes the last half of the 1970s; that is only in Spanish and is called Aquí También, Domitila.
