About Quaker Bolivia Link
Quaker Bolivia Link (QBL) was founded in the UK. After returning from a study tour of the region, 20 Quakers convened to address the tremendous poverty they had witnessed. In 1995, Quaker Bolivia Link became a registered charity in Britain (no. 1055192) with offices in El Alto. In 1998 QBL expanded its operations to the U.S. and became a California non-profit (EIN 33-0881986) employing 2 part-time administrators.
The Bolivian branch of QBL (QBL-BO) employs one part-time administrator, one full-time project manager and two full-time technical assistants to supervise operations on site. Under the guidance of the Trustees in Britain and Board members in the U.S. and Bolivia, the staff is joined by a handful of dedicated volunteers who work to serve the indigenous people of Bolivia.
