About Quaker Bolivia Link
Quaker Bolivia Link (QBL) was founded in the UK. After returning from a study tour of the region, 20 Quakers convened to address the tremendous poverty they had witnessed. In 1995, Quaker Bolivia Link became a registered charity in Britain (no. 1055192) with offices in El Alto. In 1998 QBL expanded its operations to the U.S. and became a California non-profit (EIN 33-0881986) employing 2 part-time administrators.
The Bolivian branch of QBL (QBL-BO) employs a coordinator, a team of three agricultural technicians, and a financial administrator. Additionally, we contract specialized engineers to plan and supervise the construction of our projects.Under the guidance of the Trustees in Britain and Board members in the U.S. and Bolivia, the staff is joined by a handful of dedicated volunteers who work to serve the indigenous people of Bolivia.
